He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Vanderheyden and Mina Vanderheyden; and his grandson Bryan Vanderheyden, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Vanderheyden (Phalen); his children, Bryan of Troy, Robert "Bobby" III (Kim) of Green Island, Beth Schoonmaker (Cory) and Blair McGuirk (David) of Latham; his grandchildren, Lola Thomas, Alexander Vanderheyden, Willow Schoonmaker, David McGuirk III, Levi McGuirk, Savannah McGuirk and Miles McGuirk; and his siblings, Sandy Harris and John Vanderheyden. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
