With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rosa Wideman of Albany, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 23, 2025 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen Barnes (James) and James Beverly; her children, Joanna Dale and Joseph Dale Jr.; her siblings, James Beverly, John Beverly, William Barnes and Ella Mae Johnson; her granddaughter Shadeema Jenkins; and her great grandchild Terran Clark.
She is survived by: her husband William Wideman Jr.; her daughters, Cynthia Pickens of Albany, Stephanie Dale of Albany and Rosa Perry (Charles) of Albany; her sisters, Rev. Beverly Timmons of Scotia, Marjorie Barnes of Schenectady, Margaret Brandon of Albany and Helen Hart (Harry Sr.) of Albany; her nephews, Harry Hart Jr. and Allen Brandon; and her grandson Horace Millwood (Jay). She is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren; over fifty great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
