It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruth Marlene Kratzer of Albany, New York, born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, who passed away on October 7, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Kratzer; her parents, Dallas H. Mackey and Fern M. Mackey (Tackett); her siblings, David, Harriet Johnson and Tom; and her brother-in-law Herb Kasten.
She is survived by: her children, Tamara and Daniel (Sean); her sister Bertha Kasten; and her sisters-in-law, Nancy Mackey (Abbot) and Donna Mackey (Cole). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the McVeigh Funeral Home (208 N Allen St, Albany, NY 12206). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
