He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Byer and Mary Ksiazkiewicz Byer; and his wife Joan Byer. He is survived by: his children, Yvonne DeHaven (Darrell) of Westfield, Jeffrey Byer (Nancy) of Sumter, SC and Daniel Byer of Albany, NY; his grandchildren, Michelle Stephenson, Michael DeHaven, Melanie Smith, Stefanie Touchstone and Scott Byer; his great grandchildren, Kyle, Kaylee, Kaitlyn, Kristen, Karissa, Kellen, Kenzie, Mabel, Noelle and Finn; and his great great grandchildren, Oliver, Rhylynn and Autumn.

Memorials may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church, 40 Hallock St., Jamestown, NY 14701.
