It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William J. Sturm Jr. in Albany, New York, who passed away on April 12, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of William J. Sturm Jr. to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, William Sturm and Ella Sturm (Harris); and his sister Eleanora Righter. He is survived by : his wife Laura M. Sturm of Castleton; his son William J. Sturm III of Castleton; his grandson Eric Hammell; his daughters, Deborah Dansereau of Albany and Pamela Hammell of Castleton; his grandchildren, Timothy, Amanda, Andrea and Brittany; and his pet Doe E Biscuits. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home (11 Elm St, Nassau, NY 12123). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Nassau Schodack Cemetery.
