Windel G. Watson Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on July 21, 2023, at the age of 84, Windel G. Watson of Albany, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Margrette Green and Joshua Watson; his close friend Dorothy Mennies; and his siblings, Uriah, Virgo, Madon and Ivory Watson Grant (Ivy).

He is survived by: his children, Anthony, Neville, Rosaline, Andrew Watson, Michael Johnson and Robin Johnson; his caregiver Robin Johnson; his grandson Ricky Burton; his siblings, Dondi, Mary and Junni of Jamaica; his nephew Sonny Watson (Wardlord); his close friends, Bernard Smith (Ena), Nate Pulliam and Michael Gordon; and his goddaughters, Jody, Jacquie, Ebony and Shannissa. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

After retiring he spent his time at Stewarts on Henry Johnson Blvd. (until Covid-19) meeting with friends daily discussing life in Arbor Hill and world events, he also an avid pool player.
