He was predeceased by: his parents, Dimitrios Giannios and Panagiota Giannios (Petroutsa); and his sibling Kostantinos Giannios. He is survived by: his spouse Areti Vartsakis; his children, Dimitris Giannios and Haralabos Giannios (Ann Marie); his sister Vasiliki Drivas; and his grandson George.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Marine Park Funeral Home (3024 Quentin Rd, Brooklyn, NY 11234). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Three Hierarchs Greek Orthodox Church (1724 Avenue P, Brooklyn, NY 11229). A committal service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 11:45 AM at the St. Michael's Cemetery (7202 Astoria Blvd S, East Elmhurst, NY 11370).
