He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas Spellman and Martha Spellman; his sisters, Dorothy Spellman and Susanne Klenk; his grandson Will Spellman; and his niece Linda Morris.

He is survived by : his wife Margaret; his children, Thomas J. Spellman III (Courtney), Kevin M. Spellman (Katie) and Maura N. Kieran (Mike); and his grandchildren, Kevin Spellman, Jr. (Christina Morrison), Lindsay Brocki (Michael), Betsy Spellman, Patrick Spellman, Owen Spellman, Brendan Spellman, Declan Spellman, Liam Kieran and Meredith Kieran. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
