“Mrs. Pergolizzi was simply the greatest teacher in a world of so many great teachers. I took her Italian language course in 11th grade and learned as much about life from her as I learned Italian language and culture. She took an interest in her students' lives as well as academics, and tutored me for French class after school as well as taught me Italian in an accelerated class. Her passing leaves a void in my heart and in my world. She told the funniest stories and loved life so very much.”
