She was predeceased by: her parents, Carmella Leotta Cavallaro and Leonard Cavallaro. She is survived by: her husband Bernard Bertone; her children, Andrea and James Bertone; her sister Frances Kamel; and her grandsons, Xavier Jackson and Julian Bertone.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 5th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Branch Funeral Home (190 E Main St, Smithtown, NY 11787). A Mass will be held on Saturday, September 6th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Patrick's R C Church (280 E Main St, Smithtown, NY 11787). When the world shifted during Covid, she turned her kitchen into a second-grade classroom and joyfully took care of her grandson, Julian.
