He was predeceased by: his father Tim; his brother William; and his cousins, J. Michael O'Connell and Mary Margaret Scott. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Fina; his sons, Dennis Jr. (Judy), Brian (Lisa), Michael (Regina) and Terrance; his grandchildren, Dr. Caitlin, Olivia (Nelson Collet), Cristin, Liam, Riley, Maggie, Nina and Timothy O'Connell; and his cousins, Dr. Maurice O'Connell and Maureen O'Connell Godlewski.
As Dennis felt that no one should have to go hungry, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sloatsburg Food Pantry, 81 Washington Avenue, Suffern, New York, or to Villa Marie Claire Hospice, 12 W Saddle River Road, Saddle River NJ.
