With sadness, we share the passing of Alan Katz of Canton, Ohio. Alan, born on December 14, 1944, passed away on July 17, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Alan for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While he will be deeply missed, the influence he had on the lives around him remains. He was predeceased by: his parents, Al Katz and Faye Katz (Gilbert); his brother-in-law Ted Blecher; and his nephew Joshua Blecher. He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his stepchildren, Brad Newpoff (Lisa) and Stacey DeFilippo (Anthony); his brother Jerry; his sister-in-law Barbara Katz; and his sister Randi Blecher. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren, cousins, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Temple Israel or the Aultman Compassionate Care Center in Canton.
