We announce the death of Alan Joseph Wright Sr. (Canton, Ohio), who passed away on October 10, 2026, at the age of 85. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay Wright and Ilma Wright; and his brothers, Darrell (Anna), Jack (Carol) and Howard Wright.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Wright; his sons, Alan J. Wright II and Brian P. Wright (Anita); his grandchildren, Spencer and Keira; his sister Waneta Clarke; and his pet Bella. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel (705 Raff Rd SW, Canton, OH 44710). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Alan's name to Perry Christian Church or the Stark County Humane Society-two organizations that held a special place in his heart.
