It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alexander A. Gonyias of Canton, Ohio, born in Monongahela, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 14, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Andrew Gonyias and Mary Katsilas (Somales). He is survived by : his children, Lisa Wilson (Bruce), Drew Gonyias (Kelly), Mary Jo Lehman (Bill) and Jill Zepp (Tom); his grandchildren, Mallory, Alex, Kasey, Justin, Jesse, Samantha, Matt, Zac and Dakota; and his great grandchildren, Josslyn, Mila and Cece.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the St. George Byzantine Catholic Cathedral (1123 44th St NE, Canton, OH 44714). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorial donations, in Alex's name, may be made to Crossroads Hospice (3743 Boettler Oaks Dr., Suite E Uniontown, OH 44685).
