He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Hiner, and Mildred Hiner, Sr. (Gephart). He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Y. (Cratty); and his grandchildren, Jasmine Ingersoll (Isaac Gotthardt), Joshua Ingersoll (Nelly Quezada), Jessica Ingersoll (Andrea Cimperman) and Eric Sheaffer.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Community Baptist Temple (1435 Kelly Ave, Akron, OH 44306). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens (2698 Broadway Ave NE, Louisville, OH 44641).
