We announce the death of Bette Raye Smith (Canton, Ohio), born in Hamilton, Ohio, who passed away on July 16, 2026, at the age of 82. Bette will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Donald E. Smith; her son Dale K. Smith; and her parents, Sue Marie Heisler (Riley) and Grant Heisler. She is survived by: her daughters, DeAnn Burgess (Dicky) and Beth DeVille (Dan); her grandchildren, Heather Burgess, Shelby Burgess, Nathan DeVille (Anna), Nicole Klesta (Landon) and Austin Burgess; and her great grandchildren, Eleanor DeVille and Maverick Klesta.
