He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Linear and Velma Linear (Anderson); his brother Artis M. Linear; his aunts, Bertha Blackburn, Helen Joyce and Mable Anderson; and his uncle Hobart Linear.
He is survived by: his sibling's children, Ashley Linear, Jennifer Linear, Elsie Bennett, Michael A. Linear and Brent E. Linear Sr.; his aunt Virginia Linear; his uncle Matthew Anderson (Ruby); and his cousins, Robert Proctor (Vergie), Rev. Valerie Scott, Melba Susan Linear and Thomas Linear. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
