As Carl departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Carl may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Carl leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Laverne Genet and Thelma Genet (Dycus); his wife Viola Genet; and his son David Genet. He is survived by: his children, Bonnie Ervin, Lynn Rupert (Jeffrey) and Edward Genet (Carolyn); his brother Robert Genet (Setsuko); and his brother-in-law Thomas Crowther. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Paquelet and Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Homes (1100 Wales Rd NE, Massillon, OH 44646). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at the North Lawn Cemetery (4927 Cleveland Ave NW, Canton, OH 44709).
