She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Guardabascio and Mary Guardabascio (DiFiori); her husband Dr. John A. DeVito; her brother-in-law Edward "Tony" Sliman; and her niece Nicole Sliman.
She is survived by: her sons, Dr. Kurt DeVito (Michelle) of Virginia Beach, VA, Dr. John DeVito of Canton, Dr. Michael DeVito (Diane) of Wilmington, NC, Peter DeVito (Beth) of Cleveland and Eric DeVito (Kelley) of Millersville, MD; her grandchildren, Kristopher DeVito, Thomas DeVito, Jessica DeVito, Joseph DeVito, Luke DeVito, Andrew DeVito, Simon DeVito, Jay DeVito, Samuel DeVito and Claire DeVito; her sister Carolann Sliman; and her daughter Noelle Sliman.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rossi Family Funeral Home, Inc. (730 30th St NW, Canton, OH 44709). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (3430 St Michaels Blvd NW, Canton, OH 44718).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Carmie's name to the Canton Garden Center.
