She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward M. Downs and Evelyn Faye Downs (Stutzman); her stepson Steven Scott Schering II; and her siblings, Peggy Carpenter, Dennis Earl Downs and Michael Joseph Downs.
She is survived by: her daughters, Katie Schalmo (Greg) and Dennette Dean (Greg); her stepsons, Jeffrey Schering (Amy) and Joseph Schering; her grandchildren, Connor Dean, Lenna Dean, Claire Schalmo, Vinny Schalmo, Connor Schering, Gavin Schering, Booke Rex and Caden Schering; and her brothers, Tom Downs (Ellyn) and Edward Downs (Marylee). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
