He was predeceased by : his parents, Elmer Schofield and Grace Schofield (Hannaman); his wife Alice Schofield; his children, Karen Sue, Catherine and Clifton Jr.; and his siblings, Alice, Naomi and Joseph.

He is survived by : his children, Ruth Miller (Gene) and David Schofield (Cindy); his daughter-in-law Sandy Schofield; and his sister Norma Jean McGee. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
