He was predeceased by: his father Richard Berry; and his siblings, Timothy Berry (Lisa), Christopher Berry and Anne Berry (Gereon Welhouse). He is survived by: his mother Jeanne Berry (Opstad); his wife Leanne; his daughters, Julia (Adam Meisler), Sarah and Lauren; his siblings, Deborah Faber (Denis), Richard Berry (Valerie Kromer), Nancy Cavazos (Lorenzo), Lee Berry (Susanne Kocsis), Mark Berry, Robin Berry (John Burhenn), Patrick Berry (Tracey Metry) and Jonathon Berry; his parents-in-law, George and Pat Giza; and his pet Gracie. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Dan's memory to the Alzheimer's Association (https://donorservices.alz.org), in honor of his courageous journey with Alzheimer's and so that future families may have hope for a world without Alzheimer's, or to Friends of the Boundary Waters, to help preserve the wilderness Dan loved and where many of his happiest memories were made.
