He was predeceased by: his father J. D. Gilbert; his stepfather Dan Lane; his siblings, Edith Ann Gilbert and Keith Gilbert; his half-brother Tony Gilbert; his wife Florence Gilbert; and his stepson David Gates.
He is survived by: his former wives, Sally Goetz and Florence "Flo" Gates; his stepchildren, Bob, Scott, Terry and Mindy; his mother Jewell Lane of Texas; and his children, Jacqueline Sue Johnson (Jason) of Glencoe, OK., Denise Kay Strong of Cushing, OK., J. D. Gilbert (Carolyn) of Glencoe, OK., Christopher "Chris" Paul Gilbert of Glencoe, OK. and Sally Ann "Annie" Kuberacki (Derrick) of Canton, OH.. He is also survived by many grandkids, great grandkids, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
