It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dewitt Allen of Canton, Ohio, who passed away on October 5, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Dewitt shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Dewitt farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Allen and Marie Allen (Dewitt); and his wife Shirley Allen. He is survived by: his sons, Ryon Allen (Christopher) and Michael Allen; and his granddaughter Cecilia Allen.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home (1803 Cleveland Ave NW, Canton, OH 44709). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bill's memory may be made to Central Catholic High School, 4824 Tuscarawas St W, Canton, OH 44708.
