Edna Moreland Obituary

Edna (Dolly) Moreland (Jialanella), 80, of Canton, Ohio, passed away at the Compassionate Care Center on December 21 st . She was a lifelong resident of Canton and attended Canton South. She was married to Harold (Gene) Moreland Sr. for 42 years. She was a lifelong homemaker who adored all her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be missed. May the memories of her love, kindness, and wisdom bring peace and comfort to our souls.

Help us to hold onto those precious moments and find strength in knowing that her spirit lives on in our hearts. Dolly is preceded in death by her parents, Anthony (Tony) and Edna Jialanella, her husband Harold (Gene) Moreland Sr., sister Toni Dorothy, sons-in-law Danny Fitzgerald, Bob Grove, grandson Michael Fitzgerald, and nephew Kenneth Clark Jr. Dolly is lovingly remembered by her sons, Anthony (Tony) Moreland and Harold Moreland Jr. (Carla); daughters, Theresa Capalingo, Josephine Grove, Annette Fitzgerald, Tina Hill (Terry), and Tracey Moreland (Frank); grandchildren, James Brown (Denise), Mark Brown, David Brown (Becka), Joseph Grove, Joshua Moreland (Tori).

James Moreland (Tia), Dannette Eichler (Eric), Jannette Fitzgerald (Scott), Patrick Fitzgerald (Khloye), Richard Hill (Courtney), Megaen Hill, and Sarah Moreland; Raised two grandchildren, whom she considered her sons, Steven Moreland (Teresa) and Micheal Moreland; sister Josephine Clark (Ken); and many nieces, nephews and great grandchildren. We would like to thank all of the hardworking healthcare providers at the Compassionate Care Center who provided such wonderful care for Dolly in her final moments.

We also appreciated the comfort and compassion shown to our family. Dolly's Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 29th at 9:30 a.m. at Reed Funeral Home, Canton with Father Kevin Peters officiating. Burial at Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be at the Reed Funeral Home on Thursday from 5-7p.m.
