He is survived by: his wife Diana Evans; his children, David Evans of Canton, Jennifer Horner (Herman) of Massillon and Lula Cowger; his grandchildren, Robert Oliver (Corinne), NaQuia Evans and Shanika Oliver; his great grandchildren, Isaiah, Leah, Elijah, Jonah and Josiah Oliver; his grandchildren, A'Layah Evans and LaMar Jones; his siblings, Bishop Gerald Evans (Lillian), Roger Wells, Victor Wells, Percy Hye of South Carolina, Clive Hye, Edwin Hye (Joyce) of Canton, Reginald Hye (Renee) of Georgia, Denise Foster (Jay) of Canton, Sandra Wells of Columbus and Gilda Hampton (Johnny); his sister-in-law Brenda Evans of North Carolina; and his uncle Horace Ward Jr. of Massillon. He is also survived by godchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, spiritual sons & daughters, extended family members, church family, friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at 1027 9th St NE, Canton, OH 44705. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
