He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter J. Volas and Katina Cantemiry Volas; his brother John Volas; his sister-in-law Mary Volas; and his sister Barbara Volas.

He is survived by: his wife Katherine Zafaras of Turtle Creek, PA; his children, Peter Volas (Joanna) of North Canton, OH, Dr. Gena Volas of Atlanta, GA and Evan Volas (Roula) of Canton, OH.; his grandchildren, Eleni, Yanni, Kosta Volas, Nicholas, Douglas "Andreas", Alexander Redd and Zachary Volas; his stepgrandchildren, Liese and Dr. Sarah Redd (Ian); and his sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Voutsaras, Joanne Doukakis and Evelyn Pappas. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church Endowment Fund.
