He was predeceased by: his parents, George Gilbert and Edith Gilbert (Royer); and his son Mark Gilbert. He is survived by: his wife Marianne Gilbert (Cunningham); his daughters, Sandy Grimes (Greg) and Karen Koch; his grandchildren, John Highman, Jr. (Sarah), Sarah Bowen (Kalen), Daniel Koch, Noah Koch and Christian Koch; his great grandchildren, Alex Highman, Abigail Highman and Quentin Bowen; and his sister Frances Finnegan. He is also survived by His grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
