Gary J. Shankle Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 24, 2025, at the age of 66, Gary J. Shankle (Canton, Ohio) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Gary farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Gary is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul R. Shankle and Rachael Shankle. He is survived by: his girlfriend Carol Zimbello; his siblings, William Shankle (Ellen), Ronald Shankle (Linda), Carol Shankle and Paula Vollmer (Rob); and his friend Elizabeth Zimbello. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Paquelet and Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Homes (1100 Wales Rd NE, Massillon, OH 44646). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home (1100 Wales Rd NE, Massillon, OH 44646). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sippo Lake Park (5300 Tyner St NW, Canton, OH 44708).
