We announce the death of Gary Edward Yant (Canton, Ohio), who passed away on July 22, 2026, at the age of 87. Gary will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Gary will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Gary’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Yant and Mary Yant (English); and his wife Carol "Sue". He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Kerestes (Mike), Marcie Soehnlen (George), Amy Osborne (Bob) and Denay Maximovich (Jason); and his siblings, Tim Yant and Cheryl Taylor. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren.
