He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hogan Sr. and Mary Ellis Hogan; his brothers, Mathew Hogan and Albert James Hogan "Butch"; and his sister-in-law Debbie May.

He is survived by: his wife Vickie Hogan; his sister Joanne McPherson; his children, Celeste Smith (Carnel) of Toledo, Jill Hogan and Elec Simon; his grandchildren, Arielle Gray of Virginia Beach and Carnel Lorenzo Smith II (Toledo); and his siblings-in-law, Ginger Stewart of Alliance, Carol Johnson of Alliance, Sheila Kilgore (Bill) of Alliance, Kathy Berry of Alliance, Brenda Harris of Dillonvale, Jean Bruner of Youngstown, Janice McCoy, Janet Johnson of Smithfield and Phillip Johnson (Floyd) of Solon. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends.
