With sadness, we share the passing of Harlene Smuckler of Canton, Ohio. Harlene, born on March 11, 1932, passed away on September 30, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam and Minnie (Hartman); her husband Hershel Smuckler; and her siblings, Robert Shifman, Catherine Shifman Rosenbloom, Florence Elaine Charkins and Ida Mae Pullan.
She is survived by: her children, Bill Smuckler (Randi) of Canton, Howard Linda Smuckler (Linda) of Canton and Amy Smuckler (Penny); her grandchildren, Megan Smuckler (Drew Devilbiss), Hillary O'Mallon (Gerard), Meredith Arnold (Dave), Samantha Tortora (William) and Cassandra Smuckler; and her great grandchildren, Octavio Tortora, Luisa Tortora, Larkin Jackson, Stella Smuckler, Gwen Devilbiss, Max Devilbiss, Dyer O'Mallon and Hewitt O'Mallon.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Arnold Funeral Home (1517 Market Ave N, Canton, OH 44714). Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM and on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM at 432 30th St NW, Canton, OH 44709.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Domestic Violence Project.
