He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Paul and Martha Swinehart; his former wife Dorothy Swinehart; his grandson William Swinehart; and his sisters, Phyllis Aguredakes, Norma Jones and Marion Clark.

He is survived by: his wife Peggy Swinehart; his children, Mark (Denise), David (Georgiatta), Larry Swinehart, Linda Curtis (Bob) and Denise Kolakowski (late Tim); and his stepdaughters, Linda Hauenstein (Scott) and Karen Smith (Robert). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
