She is survived by : her children, Jamal W. Salam Brooks of Canton, OH., Tyrone Derek Brooks of Canton, OH. and Jeanette Scott of Atlanta, GA.; her stepdaughter Dawn Hughes of Ft. Washington, MD.; her sisters, Lillian Simmons of Orlando, FL., Juanita Vernon of Tampa, FL., Verline Brooks Warnock of Savannah, GA., Jacqueline Brooks Gibson of Tampa, FL. and Wendolyn Brooks Pierce of Waycross, GA.; and her close friends, Arnetta Hall, Deb Singletarry of Canton, OH., Rita Handy of Lafayette, LA. and Willet Lipkins of Atlanta, GA.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel (705 Raff Rd SW, Canton, OH 44710). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
