She was predeceased by: her parents, Mac McDowell and Helen McDowell (Nieporte); her former husband Robert S Shadle; her husband William J Brown; her grandson Casey Baker; and her siblings, Thomas McDowell, Robert McDowell, Inez Laubaucher, Etta Mangus and Sister Jane McDowell.
She is survived by: her children, Gregory Shadle (Nadine) of East Canton, Daniel Shadle (Gail) of North Canton, Thomas Shadle (Kathy) of California, Larry Shadle (Marcie) of West Virginia, Andy Shadle (Debby) of North Carolina and Barbara Baker of Oklahoma; and her sister Rose Lightfoot. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Lamiell Funeral Home (1353 Cleveland Ave NW, Canton, OH 44703). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist (627 McKinley Ave NW, Canton, OH 44703).
