He is survived by: his children, James Blystone, Jr. (Julie) and Nicole Coates (Anthony); his grandchildren, Anthony Coates (Victoria), Madalynn Coates, Sydney Coates, Benjamin Coates and Kensington Blystone; and his great grandchildren, Amelia and Langston.
