He was predeceased by: his parents, James Dehnke and Marjorie Dehnke; his brother Michael Dehnke; his sister-in-law Debbie Dehnke; and his parents-in-law, Raymond and Viola Babo.

He is survived by: his sons, Max (Beth), Jimmy (Alexis) and Noah (Annie); his pets, Reese and Bentley; and his siblings, Matt (Lou), Pete and Barbie Smead (Denny). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers Jim's family has requested donations go to the Referee Education Fund (REF).
