He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, A. Raymond Kershner and Gertrude Kershner (Duncan); his wife Karen S. Kershner; his children, Jamie Weiland of Los Angeles, California, Kenneth Kershner (Stacey) of Plain Township and Jason Kershner (Kim Luxeder) of Fairlawn; and his grandchildren, Wolfgang Wachtel and Kaylah Kershner.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations are requested to the Stark County Humane Society.
