James Owens Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on January 26, 2022, at the age of 87, James Owens of Canton, Ohio, born in Lincoln, Nebraska passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Owens and Dorothy Owens (McKay); and his siblings, Phyllis Horch (Owens), Bruce and Spencer Owens.

He is survived by: his wife Paula Owens (Karcher); his children, Gordon (Laura), Lisa Schneider and Laura Life (Scott); his grandchildren, Holly Owens (Aaron Tully), Sophia Life, Thomas James Life, Justice James Schneider, Logan Fisher, Lindsey Smith (J. P.) and Nicole Latham (Brian); and his sister Beverly Allen (Owens).

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jim's memory may be made to the Stark Community Foundation (starkcf.org) where Jim's legacy of philanthropy will continue to make an impact through the Owens and Life Charitable Fund.
