He is survived by: his parents, Jerry Shankel and Barb Shankel; his wife Lori Shankel; his son Jay Shankel (Sonny); his brother Rick Shankel; his sister-in-law Cathy Shankel; his mother-in-law Sharon Patterson; and his siblings-in-law, Diane Humphrey, Janet Patterson-Lizarazo, Patty Lizarazo-Patterson and Dave Humphrey.
