It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jessie L. Owens of Canton, Ohio, who passed away on September 4, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Lee and Hazel Owens (Jackson); and his siblings, Denvil Owens, Gladys Farmer, Joyce Fulcher, Edith Potter, Mary and Doris Carroll.
He is survived by: his wife Victoria G. Owens (Batchik); his son Joseph Owens of Ohio; his siblings, Wilburn Owens and Sue Jenkins of Virginia; and his parents-in-law, JoAnn Mallo, Bob Batchik (Gia), Tom Batchik (Diane) and Jonathan Batchik (Vanessa Henderson). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
