She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John Checton and Mary Checton (Jerry Balzer) of North Canton; her children, Julie Balzer of Green and Joel Balzer (Brenda) of Virginia; her grandchildren, Sarah, Ashlynn and Noelle of Virginia; her siblings, Joyce Lappin (late Ken) of Mason and Gary Checton of North Canton; her sister-in-law Bonnie Iwanusa (Ronald) of Massillon; and her siblings' children, Marc Lappin of Cincinnati, Cheryl Hastings (Tim) of Cincinnati, Jason Iwanusa of North Canton, Jodie Freetage (David) and Jocelyn Kasler (Michael) of Massillon.
