He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Quinn Strayer and John Frank Strayer; and his sister Marion Strayer Vitagliano. He is survived by: his wife Sally Clayton Wheeler; his daughters, Leslie Strayer Jacob (Jerry) and Carrie Strayer Sibila (Doug); his sister Kathryn Strayer Scott; his granddaughters, Josephine Jewel Jacob, Kathryn Strayer Sibila and Helen Margaret Sibila; and his pet Peggy. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
