He is survived by: his daughter Avril Merrifield; his granddaughters, Iliza and Coraline Merrifield; his daughter Audrey Burd; his siblings, Roy Burd (Betti), Tom Burd (Amy) and Vickie Dugan; and his close friend Mary Westphal. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
