He was predeceased by: his parents, George Kovalik and Helen Kovalik; and his wife Johanna Kovalik. He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Wolak and Joseph R. Kovalik Jr.; his stepson Larry Conaway (Ruth); his brother Eddie Kovalik (Helen); and his daughter-in-law Barb Bittner. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
