With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lee M. Karelitz (Canton, Ohio), born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 18, 2023 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Edwin Karelitz and Bess Karelitz (Rosenbloom); his brother William Karelitz; and his brother-in-law Jeff Laaff. He is survived by : his wife Paulette; his daughters, Ashley Schagrin (Dan) and Caitlin Lanese (Joe); his grandchildren, Mia, Ellie and Henry; his siblings, Ann Laaff and Ira Karelitz (Olga); and his sister-in-law Amy Karelitz.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 20th 2023 at 10:00 AM at 432 30th St NW, Canton, OH 44709.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lee Karelitz Philanthropic Fund thorough the Canton Jewish Federation.
