He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Voges Gibbs and Dorothy Roach Gibbs; his former wife Betty Blosser Gibbs; his wife Joanne Weisel Gibbs; and his siblings, Theodore Voges Gibbs Jr. and Grace Gibbs Barnhart.

He is survived by: his brother Frederick Preyer Gibbs (Judy) of North Canton; and his stepdaughters, Cathy Williamson of Sonoma, CA, Bonnie Weisel of San Francisco, CA and Marty Clark of Canton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to Gibbs Music Fund of Christ Presbyterian Church.
