He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Haren and Nellie Haren (Miller); and his brothers, Donald, Robert, Harry, Paul, George, Tom and Bernard.

He is survived by: his sisters, Rita, Lillian, Peg, Jean and Lucille; his wife Nancy Haren (Williams); his children, Trina Jeffreys (Bob), Doug Haren (Jean), Don Haren (Jackie), Jeff Haren (Cyndi) and Jennifer Irwin (Chad); his grandchildren, Charlie Jeffreys, John, Julie, Andrew, Mitch, Brad, Emma Haren, Ethan and Emory Irwin; and his sister Carol Langanke.

The family asks that guests take COVID precautions.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Louis Haren's honor to Aultman Hospice or the Akron-Canton Food Bank.
