She was predeceased by: her sister Krystal. She is survived by: her parents, Gregory Oswald (Kim) and Debra Hitchings; her boyfriend Patrick O'Brien; her children, Taylor Johnson, Abby Caldwell, Andy Caldwell and Sarah Caldwell; her grandchildren, Declan, Stiles, Roan, Bodhi, Bexley and Ophelia; and her siblings, Tracy, Julie, Lisa and Christopher.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Maria's name to the American Cancer Society.
