He was predeceased by : his parents, Sylvester Summers and Mildred Summers (Evans); his wife Norma E. Summers (Knutty); his son Stanley Summers; his sisters, Lela Yost (Summers) and Helen Buxton (Summers); and his half-brother Robert Ritz.

He is survived by : his brother John Summers; his nephew Gary Summers (Peggy); his great-nephew Erik Summers (Virginia); his niece Lori Sutton (Mark); and his half-sisters, Judy Hobbs and Linda Collins (Al).
